Quote of the day ...

Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Sweaty Betty eco yoga mat review

I have been trying out the Sweaty Betty Eco yoga mat for a week or so. It feels like complete luxury compared to my other mats. It is quite thick and is made from recyclable non-toxic plastic. It it is embossed on both sides to prevent slipping. It is a perfect mat for a a home yoga practice and is fantastic for anyone who has kneeling issues. However, I personally found it a little bulky to carry to class with me and the strap slightly is fiddly. That said, it is the Rolls Royce of yoga mats in terms of comfort.

Video: Let The Sunshine In (Hair)

Yesterday I went with my husband and daughter to see “Hair”, the revival of the 60’s musical at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End of London. The video is the track “Let The Sunshine In”, which was my favourite song from the production. The first half of the show was excellent and very entertaining, but the second half was, for me, a bit slow. However, the end, with audience participation, was fantastic. If I hadn’t been sat upstairs (wearing very high shoes), I would definitely have got up on stage with the cast and had a dance. The show is well worth seeing before it ends in September.
